After you confirm a send, the system displays a progress screen. This article explains what you are seeing and what to do.
What the Screen Shows
- A spinning animation and an estimated delivery time — how long SendGrid expects to take to finish delivering to all recipients. Larger lists take longer.
- A Close button and a View Delivery Report button.
Your emails are already queued
By the time this screen appears, all messages have already been submitted to the delivery system. The animation does not reflect live activity in your browser — it is informational. You can close this window immediately and your emails will still be delivered on schedule.
Tip: Click View Delivery Report before closing to go directly to the delivery status page for this message.
Checking delivery status
Because the screen does not update on its own, there is no on-screen confirmation when delivery completes. Return to the message list and open the delivery report to check outcomes.
Note: Delivery status (bounces, failures) may not be final immediately after sending. Email providers can take up to a few days to report final outcomes. Check the delivery report again after 24–48 hours for the most accurate picture.
