Understanding Message Status: Drafts, Scheduled, and Sent

Updated 5/4/2026

Every message in the system has one of three statuses. Understanding what each status means helps you keep track of what has gone out and what still needs action.

The Three Statuses

Draft

A draft is a message you have created but not yet sent or scheduled. You can edit, preview, duplicate, or delete a draft at any time. Drafts appear in the Drafts table of the Email List.

Scheduled (Coming Soon...)

A scheduled message is one you have told the system to send at a specific future date and time. You can edit the content of a scheduled message at any time before its send time arrives. Once the scheduled time passes, the form locks while the system queues delivery — at that point you must cancel the schedule first, make your changes, then reschedule. Scheduled messages appear in the Scheduled tab.

Note: A scheduled message sends within one hour of the time you selected. See "Scheduling a Message" for details.

Sent

Once a message has been delivered, it moves to the Sent tab. You can view its delivery report, duplicate it to create a similar message, or delete the record. Sent messages cannot be edited or resent.

Where to Find Each Status

  1. Navigate to Administer Site > Modules > Messaging.
  2. Click the Email List tab.
  3. Click the Drafts, Scheduled, or Sent sub-tab to see messages in each state.
