The Classifieds module lets residents post items for sale, services offered, and other community notices. As an administrator, you can create and manage categories, review and approve ads, update ad details and status, and control who can post.
Getting There
- Log in with an administrator account.
- Click Administer Site in the top navigation bar.
- In the left-hand menu, click Modules, then select Classifieds.
The Four Tabs
Once inside the Classifieds module, you will see up to four tabs across the top.
Entrance
The default landing screen. It shows a summary of all ads broken down by status: all ads, active ads, pending ads, and disabled ads. Each count is a link that takes you directly to the filtered ads list.
Categories
Browse and manage the category structure. Categories organize ads by type (for example, "For Sale" or "Services"). Categories can have one level of subcategories.
Ads
Browse, filter, search, and manage individual classified ads across all categories.
Settings
Controls site-wide behavior for the Classifieds module, including who can post, whether ads expire, and email notification settings. This tab is visible only to super-administrators.
Ad Statuses
Every ad has one of three statuses:
- Active — The ad is published and visible to residents.
- Pending — The ad has been submitted by a resident and is waiting for administrator review.
- Disabled — The ad has been turned off and is not visible to residents.
