The Reviews tab gives you a unified view of all resident-submitted reviews across all businesses. From here you can browse and filter the list, edit or moderate individual reviews, and delete reviews that are inappropriate or no longer needed.
Browsing and Filtering Reviews
The Reviews tab shows every review submitted across all businesses in a single sortable table. Reviews are sorted newest first.
Columns in the Review List
- A visibility indicator icon (showing whether the review is Approved, Pending, or Disabled)
- Business — The name of the business being reviewed
- Category — The category the business belongs to
- Rating — A star rating display
- Comments — A preview of the review text (up to 120 characters); click to open the full review for editing
- Updated By — The member who submitted or last edited the review
- Updated — The date the review was last changed
Filtering the List
Use the filter bar at the top of the card to narrow the list:
- Business — Select a specific business, or leave blank to see reviews for all businesses.
- Status — Choose All, Approved, Disabled, or Pending.
Changing either filter reloads the page automatically.
Adjusting Results Per Page
Use the results-per-page control in the filter bar to show 10, 25, 50, or 100 reviews per page.
Editing or Moderating a Review
Administrators can edit any field of a resident-submitted review and can approve, disable, or delete it.
- Navigate to Administer Site > Recommendations > Reviews.
- Click the review text in the Comments column to open the edit form. You can also reach a review by opening a business listing and clicking a review in the table at the bottom.
- Update any of the following fields:
- Rating — Click the star rating control to set a new rating (1–5 stars).
- Photo — Upload or replace the image attached to the review (one image maximum).
- Comments — Edit the review text in the text area. This field is required.
- Status — Change between Approved, Disabled, and Pending.
- If you change the Status field, a checkbox will appear: Send a status change email to the resident. Leave it checked to notify the resident who submitted the review.
- Click Save.
What Happens When You Save
- The review is updated immediately.
- If the Send a status change email to the resident checkbox was checked, the system sends the resident an email containing the review details — including the rating, comments, photo (if any), business name, and new status — along with a link to view the business listing on the site.
Note: The notification email is only sent if the resident has an email address on file in their account profile.
Deleting a Review
- Navigate to Administer Site > Recommendations > Reviews.
- Click the review you want to delete to open the edit form.
- Scroll to the bottom and click Delete.
- A confirmation dialog appears. Click OK to permanently delete the review, or Cancel to go back.
After deletion, you are returned to the business edit form for the business that contained the review.
Warning: Deleting a review is permanent and cannot be undone. The resident is not automatically notified when a review is deleted.
