Uploading a Custom Favicon

Updated 5/4/2026

A favicon is the small icon that appears in the browser tab next to your site's title and in bookmark lists. By default, your site uses a standard icon; you can replace it with your own.

Before You Begin

Create your favicon image file. The standard favicon format is .ico, but many browsers also accept .png and .gif. Many free favicon generators are available online — search for "favicon generator" to find one.

How to Upload a Favicon

  1. Navigate to Administer Site > Settings > General Settings.
  2. Click the Favicon tab.
  3. In the Image field, either type the path to an already-uploaded image, or click Browse to open the file manager and select an image from your site's file library.
  4. Click Save.

Tip: After saving, you may need to clear your browser cache or do a hard refresh (Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows, Cmd+Shift+R on Mac) before the new favicon appears in the browser tab.
