The web server operates in the Eastern time zone. If your community is in a different time zone, you need to set a time offset so that dates and times on your site reflect your local time.
How to Set the Time Offset
- Navigate to Administer Site > Settings > General Settings.
- Click the Time Settings tab.
- Note the Server Time field, which shows the current server clock. Use this as a reference to determine how far your local time differs.
- Use the Server Time Offset dropdown to select the correct adjustment for your time zone. The dropdown lists standard offset values.
- Click Save.
Note: The offset shifts every displayed date and time on your site — post timestamps, event dates, document upload times, and more. Set it once and leave it unless your site moves to a different time zone.
