Resizing Images

Updated 5/4/2026

The File Manager includes an image resize tool that lets you create resized copies of images without leaving your browser. This is useful for creating smaller versions of photos for use in banners, web pages, or the news ticker.

How to Resize an Image

  1. Go to Administer Site > File Manager and click the Images tab.
  2. Navigate to the folder containing the image you want to resize.
  3. Right-click the image and select Resize from the context menu.
  4. In the resize dialog:
    • Enter the desired Width or Height in pixels.
    • The aspect ratio is locked by default — changing one dimension automatically adjusts the other. Click the lock icon to resize width and height independently.
    • Choose a predefined size if available, or enter custom dimensions.
  5. Click Resize to save.

The resized image is saved as a new file in the same folder with a size suffix added to the filename (for example, photo_small.jpg). The original image is not changed.

Tip: Images uploaded through the File Manager are automatically limited to a maximum of 1600 x 1200 pixels. If you upload a larger image, it will be scaled down to fit within those dimensions.
