Browsing and Filtering Posts

Updated 5/2/2026

The Messages tab gives you a single view of every post across all forums. You can filter by status and page through large volumes of posts.

How to Browse Posts

  1. Navigate to Administer Site > Forums.
  2. Click the Messages tab.
  3. The table shows all posts sorted by most recently updated, then most recently created. For each post you can see:
    • A status indicator (colored icon showing Active, Pending, or Disabled)
    • Posted by — the member who created the post
    • Title — the post subject (falls back to the parent forum title for reply posts with no distinct title)
    • Body — a truncated preview of the post content
    • Updated — when the post was last modified

Filtering by Status

Use the Status dropdown above the table to show only posts in a specific state:

  • All — Shows every post regardless of status.
  • Active — Shows only published, visible posts.
  • Pending — Shows only posts awaiting approval.
  • Disabled — Shows only posts that have been manually disabled.

Changing the dropdown navigates immediately — no submit button is needed.

Changing How Many Posts Appear Per Page

Use the results-per-page control (next to the Status filter) to display 10, 25, 50, or 100 posts at a time. Use the paging controls at the bottom of the table to move between pages.

Tip: Filter by Pending first whenever you log in to ensure no member posts are waiting for your review.
