Adding a YouTube video to your website is a great way to share helpful content, event recordings, or community updates. The process is simple and doesn’t require any coding experience.
Follow these steps to embed a video:
Step 1: Get the YouTube Embed Link
- Go to YouTube and open the video you want to embed.
- Below the video, click the Share button.
- In the popup, click the Embed option (it looks like a black play icon).
- A box will appear with an iframe code. You don’t need to copy this full code.
- Instead, look for the video URL inside the iframe code. It will look something like:
https://www.youtube.com/embed/VIDEO_ID
- Copy the link provided.
Step 2: Insert the Video Using the Webpage Editor
- Log in to your website and go to the webpage or component where you want to add the video.
- In the content editor, click into the text area where you'd like the video to appear.
- In the toolbar, click the YouTube button (a black play icon).
- A dialog will appear asking for the video URL.
- Paste the copied YouTube link into the "YouTube Video URL" field.
- Adjust optional settings (like width or height) if needed.
- Click OK or Insert to add the video to the page.
- Click Save to complete the changes.
