Allowing photo uploads by residents

Members now have the ability to upload photos into designated photo albums, as defined by the webmaster.

To allow uploads:

  1. Log into the site with an admin account.
  2. Click on "Administer Site" in the menu.
  3. In the left menu, click "Modules", select "Photo Gallery".
  4. Click the "Settings" tab, then expand the "Upload Options" section.
  5. Set the "Allow Uploads" option to "Yes". This will enable you to set upload options for each gallery.
  6. Optional "Agreement Text" can be customized. All users will see this message on the upload screen before submitting photos to the site.
  7. Email Notifications can also be set to alert you of newly uploaded photos.
  8. Click "Save".
  9. Next, click on the Album that you'd like to modify, then expand the "Upload Options" section.
  10. Set the "Allow Uploads" option to "Yes". This will enable uploading for this album only.
  11. The "Enable Photos" option allows you to set whether all photos should be live on the site immediately or whether webmaster approval is required before the photos are visible.
